Pushing Daisies shows a lot of potential, I just hope it’s enough.
The show’s hero is Ned a mild mannered Pie Baker, who can touch dead people and bring them back to life, but if he touches them a second time, they die for good. And if he keeps them alive longer than a minute, others around them die. In the first episode, the backstory is given. As a young boy, Ned has a crush on the girl, “Chuck” next door. His mom dies and he brings her back, thus “causing” the death of Chuck’s dad. He and Chuck are reunited after she is murdered aboard a cruise ship. Because of his love for her, he doen’t release her immediately and someone around them dies. Eccentric, colorful characters and a dark comedic plot. Will it get better?
