My friends picked this horrible movie to watch.
Resident Evil: Extinction
After paying over $8 for the ticket, I expected a lot. I was greatly disappointed.
I missed the first two movies in this series, so I’m doing my best to follow up the sci-fi backstory while chasing the plot within this movie. In general, world is overrun with zombies. Alice (Milla Jovovich), apparently, is cloned many times by the Umbrella Corporation whose sadistic officers that enjoys seeing Alice’s body sliced up and dumped in a desert pit.
The real Alice is avoiding satellite contact and is laying low. She finds the desperate caravan of survivors. As they sojourn and obtain resources (gas, munitions) one by one they seem to contract the disease. There were some artistic scenes with ravens clawing human flesh. I guess once you’re bitten by an infected bird or zombie, you have a few days before you turn zombie yourself.
The heros decide to go to a mythological place unaffected by the zombies (Alaska), which will require that the obtain a helicopter. Mealwhile, Alice goes down into the Umbrella Corporation’s underground laboratories where she faces off the big monster. She wins. She shows that there are thousands of her genetic twins in storage in that facility. Yay.
I might give this movie at most one star. Because, it was a movie and kept me captive for the duration.
I got to say that my friend who had come to see the movie with us–she stepped out after about 20 min and politely waited for us for about an hour for us outside the movie theater. I still can’t decide if she was right.
Hi Daniel!
I’ll be sure to not see this movie!
Sounds like a movie that can be easily skipped. Welcome to the blogosphere!
