I’ve read some studies about video games and sociology, etc. I think there is a problem. Yes, guy’s used to obsess about stuff in the old days just like they do video games but the difference is at least the obsession was typically somewhat productive. Tinkering with cars for instance. Even sports obsession came with maybe some exercise and social interaction. Video games on the other hand tend to lead to social isolation or at the least dealing with current important life issues. As a single female, the last thing I want to hear is that a guy is a “gamer”. That means no attention for his part in any life we might create together and a lot of money spent on expensive toys. Is it a social problem? Yeah…but it’s not just the guys…girls get into these things too….
I’m A guy and got dragged into parenthood by my Wife very shortly after we got married. Now I have three kids I never wanted and my wife bitches about any amount of money I spend to make myself happy because the “kids need it”. Fuck it. Guys DON’T get married and deffinetly DON’T have KIDS!
