Yesterday, I had the opportunity to go check out the “new” Ginza Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar in Preston Walk, Cary. It is located in the same plaza as Biaggi’s, Panera Bread, and Stonewood Grill.
Upon entering, they have sushi bar/tables in the room to the right, and teppanyaki hibachi grill tables to the left. My friend and I had a hibachi lunch and were both pretty impressed. Although the meal was slightly on the salty side (I should have requested their low-sodium soy sauce), it was brilliantly prepared by our hibachi chef, Peter. All the typical flashy knife tricks and fire tricks were expertly shown. The lunch prices were quite reasonable (12-15 for hibachi meals) and included soup and salad courses. I will likely go back.
