In November, I wrote about the shock I experienced when the tax assessors in my county sent out the preliminary revaluations.
I got a letter in the mail yesterday, which, again, readjusts the tax value of my home. I’m relieved that the Powers That Be have recrunched the numbers and lowered the tax value to a more appropriate sum (about 6% less than the number the tax man sent in November). Overall, it’s a value that more accurately reflects the market. I’m satisfied, at least for now.
